THM comment

A nicely laid out handbook, which clearly outlines principles of history taking, physical examination and enough anatomy to help the flow of the text. The writing style is clear and concise.Browning doesn’t over elaborate, which is ideal for its intended audience - those using it in clinical practice. Illustrations are good - not too fancy, reminding me of the sketches I made as a student making it feel familiar.
I felt that the section on gait analysis was very useful and the neurological assessment section was a good review of what I had forgotten. The chapter on joint pain will probably be where most people go to first and this is well handled and contains some useful ‘charts’ on incience of common conditions and their presentation.
Overall, a worthwhile text, useful to students and clinicians. If I had one small criticism, it is too big to go in a coat pocket and could be a little larger for desk use, but that is beign picky.
