To me this, along with Tortora’s other tome (with Anagnostakos), are invaluable formative texts for anyone studying anatomy and physiology - clear and easy to follow, detail-rich but not overwhelming.

Another book that is one my list but not yet read - no longer in print, but there are a number available on the book and auction sites. Is it worth lobbying for a re-print as the owner of the rights to this book hopes? Send in a review, please.

All osteopaths (at least) should read this to gain some understanding of Still’s thinking and where Osteopathy has come from.

You might sum this book up as ‘worthy if wordy’ - remember that the writing style is of another century, but give it a go and think about the philosophy that has, in large part, led us to our current thinking.
